Where is River + Sands based?⌄
We are proudly based in Brisbane, Queensland Postcode 4000. All our product design, stock management, and order fulfillment happen locally in Australia.
How much sun protection do your shirts actually provide?⌄
Our shirts provide UPF 50+ protection, which is the highest possible rating for clothing. To ensure your safety, every fabric is ARPANSA certified—meaning they have been lab-tested against strict Australian government standards to block 98% of harmful UV rays.
What makes River + Sands shirts different?⌄
Our gear is specifically engineered to be lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying. They are built to move with you while keeping you protected in intense heat.
Are your products true to size?⌄
Yes. Our gear fits true to size. For a more relaxed or loose fit, we recommend sizing up. Please refer to the size guide on each product page.
How long does delivery take within Australia?⌄
We dispatch from Brisbane within 1–2 business days. Standard shipping takes 3–5 days, while Express Shipping arrives in 1–3 business days for most metro areas.
Do you ship internationally?⌄
We ship Australia-wide and to New Zealand. International availability is shown at checkout. Please note: We do not currently ship to the USA.
Do you offer tracking?⌄
Yes. Once dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with full tracking details to monitor your delivery.
What is your returns and exchange policy?⌄
We accept returns on unworn, unused items with original tags within the timeframe outlined in our Returns Policy. If the fit isn't right, contact hello@riverandsands.com for an exchange.
What if my item arrives damaged?⌄
If your gear arrives damaged or incorrect, please email us immediately so we can resolve the issue for you quickly.
How do I care for my adventure shirts?⌄
To maintain UPF integrity and performance: cold machine wash, use mild detergent, avoid fabric softeners/bleach, and air dry where possible.

Yes. Our fabrics are moisture-wicking and quick-drying, making them ideal for fishing, travel, and multi-day adventures.
